War Against Christmas is a War Against God

So says Marius Forte, the author (with Sam Sorbo) of the new book, The Answer: Proof of God in Heaven

The war against Christmas, launched annually by the secularists who falsely claim that Christmas observance somehow discriminates against non-observers, is really their rejection of the spiritual side of life, of the soul and of a transcendent reality of the existence of God as the creator of the universe and as the giver of immutable laws.

The war against Christmas is a war against American culture and heritage. Forte’ states, “Since the founding of our country, we all have lived and do live within the absolute framework of our Judeo-Christian religion.”  Christmas was declared a legal holiday by executive order of President Ulysses S. Grant, June 26, 1870. Since then, Christmas has been confirmed by acts of Congress and by the States. The American tradition has been to observe religious aspects of Christmas in church or at home and the secular aspects in various public forms. Forte’ gives the following foundational evidences which is by no means a complete list:
As Christmas is an official national holiday, the war on Christmas would be the same as if we had a war on the 4th of July.

Our current year, AD 2013, attests to the fact that our calendars are calibrated to the birth of Jesus Christ as AD stands for
the Latin phrase, “Anno Domini” meaning “In the year if our Lord”.

1 week has 7 days, we rest on Sundays and most denominations meet on Sundays as well. Why? Because the New Testament
established this form after Christ’s resurrection.

The phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” is etched on every Dollar Bill; so any commerce done within this land is done in GOD’S name.
Almost all court houses have a copy of the 10 Commandments exhibited.

Each President is sworn in on a copy of the Holy Bible.  So the President, the head of our government , endorses OFFICIALLY
one religion—as he is not ever sworn in, for example, on a copy of the Quran.

In all official business, we acknowledge GOD in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Christmas is an opportunity for all Americans to thank God that America is a Christian nation. By not establishing a denomination of Christianity as a state religion, and by establishing a system of government that respects religious differences and that considers all as equal under the law, America is specifically fulfilling its creed as a Christian nation. Christianity, unlike authoritarian ideologies, involves a personal relationship between the believer and Jesus Christ, one that does not involve coercion in any form.  A study of the Bible reveals that Jesus established the separation of church and state and gave to mankind the moral and ethical precepts of the Torah; Jesus recognized that rights emanate from the Creator and not from the state.

For these reasons, and more, all Americans, believers and non-believers, ought to celebrate the birth of Jesus as the founder of what would evolve into the American way of life which is one undeniable fruit of his ministry.
