Attorney General Holder “Common Sense” gun control proposal: bracelets

The Daily Caller reports that Attorney General Eric Holder is proposing, as a “common sense reform” gun control measure, government mandated tracking bracelets for gun owners. The gun owner would have to “activate” the bracelet which would be presumably monitored by the government. Alan Gottlieb Founder Second Amendment Foundation says that they might as well go all the way and implant a computer chip into the body of the gun owner.
Holder testimony:
“One of the things we learned when we were trying to pass those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and talked about how guns can be made more safe by making them either through fingerprint identification, the gun talks to a bracelet that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon,”
These so-called “technology people” to whom Attorney General Holder refers are government funded ideologues who are researching technological means to track gun owners and this “smart gun” technology could be presumably employed to track anyone the government chooses to track notes Gottlieb.
Law-abiding gun owners do not need bracelets or fingerprint registration. The proper role of the Attorney General regarding gun control is to go after criminals with guns but unfortunately, with such programs as Attorney General Holder’s “Fast and Furious,” his administration is doing the opposite as they hand over weapons to criminals in that case.
Gottlieb notes that these methods of using bracelets and fingerprints are part of an over-all scheme of gun confiscation through “smart gun” technology.
Just so you know how it works, a smart gun requires the shooter to be wearing a bracelet or watch with an RFID chip that allows the gun to fire.
