Gun Grabbers defaming gun owners

Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and the Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation  is taking on a case of defamation against gun owners.
Backed by money from Billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a turf group called Moms Demand Action has launched a Madison Avenue style slick media campaign ridiculing Kroger Supermarkets for permitting their customers to carry firearms.
They are running disgraceful ads featuring gun-toting thuggish looking men toting machine guns standing next to children in grocery store aisles. One ad has a tall unshaven disheveled guy wearing a white tee-shirt and jeans with a machine gun strapped to his shoulder standing next to a blond little girl in a pink dress and pony tails holding a vanilla ice cream cone.
The caption reads, "One of them isn't welcome at Kroger. Guess which one."
"This is ridiculous and it is beyond the pale" says Alan Gottlieb. "Obviously law-abiding gun owners would be the first people to protect that little girl from the person the Ad is portraying. This is grossly insulting and offensive to gun owners. Such ugly stereotyping would not be acceptable if any other group were targeted like this."
Gottlieb goes on:
"This fantasy exploits fear and ignores the fact that Bloomberg and his nanny-state gun-grabbing friends are the ones who put people at risk by letting criminal know they can proceed and that no one will be able to stop them in their commission of a violent crime."
More than 40 states allow people to openly carry guns, although some require special permits or licenses.
Kroeger is the latest business to be targeted for defamation by Bloomberg and his group which also put pressure on Target and Starbucks, both of which capitulated to the barrage of negative ads.
"First they'll go after businesses, next they'll move on to citizens" predicts Gottlieb.
